Versatile Professional Light Diffusion
The GLALU Basic Cover is a series of high-quality covers made from durable polycarbonate (PC), designed to snap into GLALU profiles. Whether you want to maximize light output, hide the light source, or create a specific design effect, there is a variant for your project. The cover protects the LED strip from dust, moisture, and physical impact while significantly influencing how the light is perceived.
Choose the Right Finish for Your Project
- Transparent: Allows maximum light transmission. Perfect where the profile is hidden, and you want as much brightness as possible.
- Frosted / Opal (Milky): The most popular variant. Diffuses light and reduces glare. It creates a soft, even light line and hides individual diodes (dot-free effect depends on LED strip density).
- Black: A design choice for dark interiors. When the light is off, the black cover blends with a black profile for a completely invisible installation. When switched on, the light filters through the cover for a soft and decorative effect (note that black absorbs more light than the others).
Areas of Application
The choice of cover determines the application. Transparent is best suited for indirect lighting behind moldings, opal is ideal for visible general lighting in ceilings and kitchens, while the black cover is excellent for decorative effects in modern living rooms, cinema rooms, or restaurants where design is the focus.
